Pregnant Duchess of Cambridge channels sports-luxe in tracksuit on royal engagement
Yesterday afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge swapped her highly-covetable Boden coat for a monochrome tracksuit, as she prepared to play tennis with the children of Bond Primary School in Mitcham.
The pregnant royal is a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club so was on hand to find out more about Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative’s work.
During the royal engagement, the 36-year-old demonstrated how to sport maternity athleisure in a £120 white Clarice jacket.
The Duchess of Cambridge teamed the sports-luxe aesthetic with black Monreal London leggings and a pair of Nike trainers.
During the visit, Kate joined the pupils in the school hall for several practice tennis sessions.

And the youngsters certainly took a shine to the Duchess of Cambridge.
At the end of the visit, children formed an orderly queue to say goodbye to the royal with a handshake (as instructed) but the first child went in for a huge cuddle instead.
And sure enough, fellow pupils soon ditched royal protocol in exchange a giant hug from the Duchess of Cambridge.

In a farewell speech, the royal thanked the children and admitted that she has had to take a step back from tennis in recent years.
“A big thank you from me as well because I’ve loved playing with you all – it’s so energetic and exciting to be part of it, so well done for all the hard work,” she stated in her speech. “And I love tennis. I think it’s a great sport, I was really sporty when I was little, less so now that I’ve got lots of babies.”
