For many, pigs in blankets are as vital to Christmas as the Christmas tree itself.
Whatever your stance on sprouts, turkey, and Yorkshire puds, no one can deny that the bacon-wrapped sausages are one of the best things on the Christmas dinner plate.
Our only qualm? Sometimes we can’t help but think the chipolata-size sausages could be a little bigger.
Well now – and, brace yourselves – Aldi have thrown the rulebook out the window and launched foot-long pigs in blankets just in time for the festive season.
Measuring in at 12-inches long, Aldi’s Giant Pigs in Blankets (400g) are being dropped as part of the supermarket chain’s Christmas 2018 range.

The extra-long smoky bacon-wrapped sausages cost just £2.99 for a pack of two and will be available in stores from 6th December 2018.
Also included in the Christmas range will be Methuselah Prosecco, luxury caviar, and a chocolate carousel.
