Dionne Warwick Will Pay Jake Gyllenhaal To Give Back Taylor Swift's Scarf
Jake Gyllenhaal is trending again—this time, for non-hygiene-related reasons.
In case you missed it, here's a primer: Last week, Taylor Swift dropped Red (Taylor's Version), a re-recording of her 2012 album. She included an extended, 10-minute version of 'All Too Well', one of her most famous breakup anthems.
Swifties long ago concluded that the song is about her short-lived 2010 romance with Gyllenhaal. Telling signs include the scarf motif that dominates the lyrics—'I left my scarf there at your sister's house / And you've still got it in your drawer, even now'—referring to the striped scarf Swift wore to Thanksgiving at Maggie Gyllenhaal's house in 2010, and that Gyllenhaal was also spotted wearing the same year.
Now, Dionne Warwick is demanding that the actor return Swift's property.
'If that young man has Taylor's scarf he should return it,' the iconic singer tweeted on Monday.
She added, 'It does not belong to you. Box it up and I will pay the cost of postage, Jake.'

Though Gyllenhaal has yet to publicly respond, his sister, Maggie, says she doesn't have a clue about its whereabouts.
'I am in the dark about the scarf,' she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in 2017. 'It's totally possible [that it's in the house]. I don't know.'
All I can say is that I hope none of the owners of the hoodies in my closet write a song about me that Warwick will listen to.
