Wimbledon showcases some of the best tennis players in the world, but fashion moments at the esteemed tournament often shift the focus courtside. That was the case on Saturday when Anya Taylor-Joy, alongside her husband Malcolm Wellman McRae, arrived to watch the women’s singles finals.

As the couple stepped out hand-in-hand, Taylor-Joy could be seen wearing a nude halter-neck top, which plunged below her bust and featured a shiny black collar. She coordinated her look with a matching black miniskirt that ruched at the hips for a pleated effect. Underfoot, pointy black leather heels completed her tailored ensemble.

The actor used her minimal colour palette as a base for her whimsical accessories. She channelled the noughties with a pair of reflective, oval-shaped sunglasses, and in hand, she carried a canary-shaped clutch from JW Anderson. The sold-out style—which retails for £850—bears an uncanny resemblance to the real bird it’s modelled after, boasting everything from bright yellow 'feathers' to a pointy beak. And while the winged accessory didn’t take flight, it certainly took Taylor-Joy’s look to new heights.

She kept the quirky accessory front and centre as she posed for photos, cradling the yellow clutch in between her hands as she would with a real bird. The actor paired the look with her signature glam, wearing her staple red lip and styling her long platinum tresses down in an effortless middle part.

Meanwhile, her husband Malcolm looked dapped in a navy suit. He accessorised in a more formal manner with black leather loafers and a green tie with asymmetrical white stripes, although he followed his wife’s cue and let down his long brown hair as well. There’s no question that the couple aced their Wimbledon style.

Taylor-Joy wasn't the only one this weekend to show her love of birds. Harry Styles was also spotted out in London on Friday evening on stage with Stevie Nicks at British Summer Time (BST) wearing a blue bird brooch on his suit lapel. The appearance marked Styles' first time on stage since last July during his Long On Tour stint.
