Cooking therapy shows Denise Van Outen how naked dining could spice up her relationship!
Watch: Cooking therapist, Charlotte Hastings, watches as Denise Van Outen and Eddie Boxshall cook up a storm in their new podcast
Denise Van Outen is known for her flirty banter, but partner Eddie Boxshall may have got more than he bargained for when she recently suggested they should take to dining in the nude!
The dining conversation occurred during the latest episode of their podcast, Before We Say I Do.
In response to Boxshall asking why they don’t ever ‘date’ at home, Van Outen suggested they perhaps need to spice up their mealtimes!
“I could just sit and eat my meals topless,” she suggested. “How about if just one day we do naked dining? That would be hilarious!”

While Boxshall seemed keen on the idea, he did have one stipulation.
“The only thing I don't want to cook is a red-hot stir fry with that all that fat spitting everywhere!” he laughed.
The pair were experiencing cooking therapy with Charlotte Hastings from Therapy Kitchen, who quizzed them on their different attitudes to food, and in particular, cooking. The pair admitted that they both had their set roles when it came to mealtimes.

“If I'm if I'm being really truthful, I've become quite lazy because Eddie cooks for me,” Van Outen told Hastings.
“Previously, when I wasn't with Eddie, I did do quite a lot of cooking. I wouldn't say I'm a good cook, or the best cook, but I've definitely got worse!”
Boxshall agreed, saying he was the cook of the family, but it was something that he got great satisfaction from.
“I like to satisfy someone, especially when it comes to food,” he said.
“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than serving up a nice dish and you'll hear people slurping and chomping… And you get the compliments! I’m not searching for compliments, but it's just that I get satisfied by doing the cooking and watching people eat my food.”
While the pair are happy with this status quo in their relationship, Boxshall did confess there was one thing that really annoyed him about Van Outen and mealtimes – her addiction to mustard!

“I spend a lot of time with my spices and salt and pepper, the seasoning, making sure it tastes right – and then I put my dish down and it's ‘whallop!’, a massive spoonful of English mustard on the side,” he laughed.
He continued: “I have to hide it. I feel like one of those parents that hide sweets on the top shelf on top of the cupboard so she can't find it!”
During the podcast, the pair were tasked to cook a stir-fry together, which didn’t go quite to plan as they set off the fire alarm, however, the task did highlight how the pair could work better together in – and outside – of the kitchen.
“I'm going to be more open arms as well in terms of allowing Denise into the kitchen and chopping up the veg and not peering over her shoulder telling her that she’s not cutting it right,” he told Hastings.
“I'm a bit of a control freak in the kitchen — I need to back off a little bit as well!”
And what did Van Outen take away from the therapy session?
“I think we just need to make mealtime sexy!” she confessed
