While the rest of us have been spending Saturday nights in our comfiest clothes, Davina McCall has been reminding us how nice it is to get dressed up sometimes.

And her dazzling ensemble for yesterday evening's final of The Masked Singer was no exception.

The TV star, 53, wowed in a shimmery sleeveless, floor-length blue dress, featuring a high neck and a subtle thigh split.

She paired the glittering look with a bouncy blow dry and a pair of strappy silver heels.

Posting the stylish look to her 1.3 millioon fans on Instagram, McCall joked: "PS. spot the bra strap mark."

The dress went down well with her followers, who left more than 49,000 'likes'.

TV chef Andi Oliver wrote: "Oh darling!!! STUNNING!!!"

Retired athlete Dame Kelly Holmes commented: "Looking fab."

And a third added: "Gorgeous! Wish I had a reason to get dressed up."

None seemed to mind about her very faint bra strap marks, with one reassuring her she had to "zoom in" to find them.

It comes as McCall wowed in a sheer dress and "big pants" for a recent episode of the hit ITV show.

Earlier on in the series, McCall had the perfect response to a Twitter user who described her as being an “old, over sun-kissed woman” who “should cover up”.

It came after the star shared another image to the site of her wearing a silky, polka dot gown, with spaghetti straps and a side split that she had worn to appear on the show.

She received a whole slew of compliments on the sleek look, but one person wasn’t quite as impressed.

They unkindly commented: “Old over sun-kissed woman should cover up… stunning dress but not for the wrinkly crinkly… demure for the mature.”

However, the presenter impressively shot back with: “Really sorry. Absolutely no chance of demure over here Sue... growing old disgracefully is far more fun.”

Speaking recently to The Sun about her hotly-debated outfits, she said: "I have a line where I think, 'I wouldn't wear that, that's too risky, or I don't feel comfortable in it'.

"I just don't think any of the outfits that I was wearing were that shocking."

She added: "I didn't think they were outrageous."
