Update 31 July: David Beckham reveals he was the 'hairdresser' who cut off Harper Beckham's long hair.

Last night, the former footballer posted a picture of him chopping his daughter's hair with a frown on his face.

He captioned the post: 'Someone’s happy 😃 & someone’s not so happy ✂️ but I didn’t think it was possible for this little one to look anymore beautiful but ♥️.'

Whether it’s a Khloé Kardashian-inspired ‘lob’ or a swept up chignon à la Meghan Markle this summer, nothing feeds our beauty fix like getting a new hair do to share on the ‘gram.

And it appears this is a sentiment shared by both Victoria and Harper Beckham this week following the seven-year-old’s recent drastic hair change.

Last week, Harper was spotted on a family day out with her famous brothers in Los Angeles sporting a new hair styled into short, shoulder-length cut.

Over the weekend, Victoria posted a picture of her daughter with her new hairstyle tied up in a low ponytail during a day out learning how to make ice cream.

Victoria shared a photo of Harper sculpting chocolate ice cream and captioned the shot: ‘Having fun making ice cream!’

The hair cut is quite a big change for the only daughter of David and Victoria Beckham, especially after her famous footballing father previously told Yahoo Style he was against cutting her iconic long locks.

‘About a year ago, my wife said, “Maybe we should cut Harper's hair.” And I was like, “No! We need to grow it. Do. Not. Touch”,’ he told the news outlet.

‘Since she was born, we haven't cut it. That's why it's pretty much down to her knees. I had to. It's just so good, isn't it?’

We wonder if Harper will ever take a leaf out of her mother's famous hair archives and go for a 'Pob' (posh bob) one day?
