Dani Dyer hints at wedding plans with Jarrod Bowen as dad Danny gives his blessing
Former Love Island winner Dani Dyer has a wedding on her mind and her Eastenders star dad, Danny Dyer, has already approved. The reality TV personality and her actor dad have appear on the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox together.
On Friday's season premiere episode, on 7 June, the discussion turned to the possibility to marriage between Dani and her footballer boyfriend Jarrod Bowen. Dani opened up about her relationship with the West Ham United and England player, who she has one-year-old identical twin girls, Summer and Star, with.
The 27 year old asked her dad: "What would you do though Dad, if Jarrod rung you and said, 'I want to marry your daughter'?" He replied: "Well, I'd have to think hard about it darling because you know, you're my firstborn child."
"You're so good at speeches and thinking quick" said Dani in reference to a wedding speech, to which Danny said: "I'm only good at speaking about things I enjoy and love. I have been writing it already."
Dani then asked: "Have you actually?" with Danny laughing: "Nah don't be so stupid. I'm not pre-empting anything in case it goes t*** up, if it goes t*** up then what?" The mum-of-three replied: "Can you imagine dad? Can't be doing that again."
Danny went on to reveal his relationship deal breaker as a West Ham fan, saying: "The only way it could go t*** up is if [Bowen] moves and went and played for Tottenham.
"If he went and played for Tottenham Hotspur, then there's some f**king issues. Other than that I'm sweet with whatever else happens."
Dani met her footballer boyfriend when she was a single mum to Santiago. She shares her son with her ex Sammy Kimmence, who served jail time for scamming pensioners out of more than £30,000 while posing as a financial advisor. Now three, Santi is a big brother to Dani and Jarrod's identical twin girls who arrived in May 2023.
Discussing what it was like falling in love while adjusting to becoming a single mum, Dani said: "Santi was about eight months. I honestly think if you meet the right person they will make it the most easiest experience for you."
The star has also been incredibly open about the realities of dating a busy Premier League footballer while trying to look after their young children.
Discussing how she copes, she recently admitted: "I think you just learn how to manage.. the kids always keep me busy, but yeah it is hard and I become a bit clingy when he's home."
The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in November last year and her dad previously gushing about his potential future son-in-law.
Speaking about his daughter's dating history, the onscreen hardman admitted she'd "brought home f****** t****" before introducing him to Jarrod, who he called a "real amazing man".
