Daisy May Cooper gives birth! Star welcomes third child 'earlier than expected' and announces name
Congratulations are in order for Daisy May Cooper who has given birth to her third child. The This Country actress has revealed that she welcomed a baby boy into the world earlier this week. Sharing a video from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Instagram, Daisy announced that her son had been born on Thursday, 6 June – something that was "earlier" than she expected and revealed the little one's name.
Alongside the video, she wrote: "You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that i nearly had to phone the samaratins but my god you are perfect.'
"I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond. you are all bloody superstars. I am so blessed
"Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter Born 06/06/24".
In response to the exciting news, Daisy's followers were quick to flood the comments section with messages of support, with celebrities including Dermot O'Leary, Giovanna Fletcher and Laura Whitmore sending their love.
"Massive congratulations to you all. And welcome to the world Benji," wrote one Instagram user. "Congratulations beautiful! We love you Daisy hope you & bub are doing well!," another added.
Little Benji is Daisy’s first child with boyfriend Anthony. Back in March, it was reported that Daisy was pregnant and she was seen cradling her blossoming bump while on a walk with her beau that same month.
“Daisy is pregnant and is really excited to become a mum for the third time with her new partner. The pair have been going strong, so the addition of a baby will only bring them closer together,” a source told The Sun at the time.
They added: “Daisy is very happy and becoming a mum again what she is focusing on right now. She was living in Cotswolds and ready to start this new chapter.”
Never Mind The Buzzcocks panellist Daisy is already mum to daughter Pip, five, and son Jack, three, whom she shares with her ex-husband.
The actress is said to have met Anthony on the dating app Hinge and the pair were pictured looking loved up at the BAFTAs last year.
The comedian has opened up about finding love with the Bristol-based DJ. “Love is being able to live together on a day-to-day basis, enjoying each other’s company, being completely yourself and having that accepted,” she told The Sun.
“He doesn’t want to compete with me. He earns £1,500 a month and he’s the sweetest, kindest, most chilled-out man.”
Meanwhile on the Katie Price podcast she explained: “I'm with the same guy I've been with for a year and he's so f****** good for me."
