Giovanni Pernice is reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to join another reality show, after his departure from Strictly Come Dancing.

The 33v year old left the show following complaints about his approach to training on the show from former celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington and others.

Amanda accused him of "abusive or threatening behaviour" that left her "broken and in tears" and suffering from "mild Post Traumatic Stress Disorder".

Giovanni has strongly denied these accusations and is determined to prove his innocence.

Now, it looks like he may have another gig line up after leaving the BBC show after a nine year stint, as he’s reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to join the Italian version of the show.

“Giovanni is in advanced talks to join the Italian version of Strictly, Dancing with the Stars,” a source told The Mail. “Bosses are really keen to sign him as a judge given his fame and status in the UK but are also open to the dancer performing as a professional, if he still wants to compete.

“All he wants is a fresh start and to join Dancing with the Stars in Italy will certainly give him the new chapter he's been hoping for,” the insider continued.

The Italian dancer posted a statement to his Instagram last week, denying allegations, which read: "To my fans and followers, as you know, I have always rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour.

"The latest accusations are simply false. I am cooperating fully with the ongoing BBC investigation, which will determine the truth.

"As requested, I have stayed silent, but I am looking forward to the conclusion of the investigation and ultimately clearing my name and establishing the truth."

Earlier this week, Amanda was seen being comforted by her friend as she ‘broke down in tears’ during a girls' day out in London.

Last year, the actress made a ‘dramatic exit’ from the reality show, which she attributed to ‘personal reasons’ at the time.

Gio, who is facing legal action from Amanda and two other unnamed women, was reportedly seen ‘chain smoking in the street’ and visiting two casinos before midday.

Despite being ‘axed’ from the British version of Strictly the star is currently performing alongside judge Anton Du Beke.

Former Strictly star Vito Coppola won Ballando con le Stelle, the Italian of the version of the show in 2021, two years before taking the glitterball home in the BBC show alongside Ellie Leach.
