Daisy Edgar-Jones Just Opened Up About Her Chemistry With Jacob Elordi

Make no doubt about it: 2024 is shaping up to be the year of Daisy Edgar-Jones. From making her sheer dressing red carpet debut at the Toronto International Film Festival to unveiling the plans for producing her first film, the world is the Normal People star's for the taking.

In case we needed anymore proof, the London-born star has confirmed that chemistry with Jacob Elordi, her co-star in 1950s drama On Swift Horses, which made its world premiere at the event, came easy. 'It's not hard to make chemistry with Jacob,' she told reporters of the Saltburn actor, 'because he's just so charismatic.'

'What I loved about this script was it felt almost like reading poetry and so much of what happens is in the subtext,' she added.

The feeling, it appears, was mutual, as Elordi further echoed Edgar-Jones' comments, admitting that their chemistry was 'immediately there.'

The Euphoria star said that when he 'had to audition for the film with Dan and Daisy, and it was more like a workshop and we danced and [played] cards. It was pretty clear immediately in that moment that we were going to be able to find that connection.'

According to the official synopsis of the film, which is based on the 2019 novel of the same name, it follows 'newlyweds Muriel (Edgar-Jones) and Lee (Will Poulter) who are beginning a new life when he returns from the Korean War. However, their newfound stability is upended by the arrival of Lee’s charismatic younger brother, Julius [Elordi], a wayward gambler with a secret.'
