Daisy Edgar-Jones Is Heading To The West End
Daisy Edgar-Jones is following in her Normal People co-star Paul Mescal's shoes and is set to star in a new West End adaptation of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at London’s Almeida theatre.
The play, which opens on 10 December 2024 and runs until 1 February, will mark Edgar-Jones' return to the theatre, where she starred in Albion in 2020.

Among those set to star opposite Edgar-Jones in Rebecca Frecknall's production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which won Williams his second Pulitzer prize for drama, are Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lennie James.
Taking to Instagram to share the news of her casting with her followers, Edgar-Jones shared an image of herself and Ben-Adir as well as a scribbled and highlighted script of the play, along with a notebook in which a quote from the play is written. 'I've got the guts to die,' the quote from the play, which is attributed to the Big Daddy character, reads. 'What I want to know is have you got the guts to live?'
In the four years since making her West End debut, London-born Edgar-Jones has established a glitteringly career for herself that includes leading roles in Twisters and On Swift Horses, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival this month. Speaking at the event in the Ontarian capital, Edgar-Jones confirmed that her chemistry with Jacob Elordi, her co-star in 1950s drama On Swift Horses, came easy. 'It's not hard to make chemistry with Jacob,' she told reporters of the Saltburn actor, 'because he's just so charismatic.'
