The Crown series four will be released on Netflix on Sunday, November 15, and will see dark times for the royals as they face yet more political and social upheaval with the election of Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister.

Ahead of the hotly anticipated next instalment, Netflix released its first full-length trailer for season four earlier this week, featuring an extended look at Emma Corrin's debut as Princess Diana.

And Emma, who previously appeared in Pennyworth and Granchester, has already spoken about her time on set during the filming of the fourth series – and revealed she couldn't help herself when it came to the jewellery.

Speaking to ODEntertainment, she admitted: 'So the scene we were doing was in Diana’s room or something, and there was just like loads of jewellery in a jewellery box and there was a gold chain. So I stole the gold chain, which I wear.'

Though the chain was a replica, Josh O’Connor, who currently plays Prince Charles on the series, and who joined Emma for the interview, joked that she had stolen the real thing and called it an 'absolute outrage'.

'It came from the V&A and she’s nicked it and everyone’s looking for it!' he joked.

As well as Corrin and O’Connor, The Crown’s fourth season will also see Gillian Anderson star as Margaret Thatcher, alongside returning cast-members Olivia Colman, who brilliantly portrays Queen Elizabeth II and Tobias Menzies, who again reprises the role of Prince Phillip.

You can watch (or rewatch, if you're as excited as us for the fourth series) the trailer here — bring on November 15!
