If there is a perfect formula for a good tailgate, it's music plus a cold beverage. Luckily, this new Costco find makes supplying both at your next gathering as easy as can be. While it comes with a hefty price tag, this product could be exactly what you need to transition from end-of-summer beach days to fall tailgates. With its versatility and cute retro vibe, this find might be worth the cost.

Igloo KoolTunes Cooler and Bluetooth Speaker From Costco

Costco customers are spotting this new Igloo KoolTunes Bluetooth Speaker and Cooler in stores. The cooler is a standard 14-quart cooler, which can fit up to 26 cans. While it might not be the biggest cooler on the market, it is a great, portable size for a picnic or tailgate. With its handle and smaller size, you won’t notice you are carrying it until you realize you can also use it as a boombox at the same time.

In addition to basic cooler functions, the KoolTunes speaker has two built-in speakers with Bluetooth pairing capabilities. With up to ten hours of battery life, you can play tunes all day, whether outdoors for a barbecue or indoors at a football watch party. Costco says the speaker cooler is inspired by a version it had in 1989, so it truly is a “blast from the past.”

This version is water resistant, though, and has updated technology for easier music playing. It comes in three colors: red, green, and blue. Despite the updated features, there is still a retro feel, so you can bring a little nostalgia to your next event.

Is the New Costco Cooler Worth the Price?

It’s hard to ignore the price tag on this cooler. But while $90 might seem a little hefty, Igloo sells the same speaker for around $150. So, if you were already looking for a similar product, this one is the way to go. Costco is here again to save the day with its wholesale pricing and deals.

On an Instagram post announcing the new product find, customers commented that it has higher speaker quality than expected, a good battery life, and decent sound. One added that while it might not be the best speaker to power over loud crowds at a big event, it would be good for “a quick day fishing on the lake or beach day.”

The smaller size is optimal for a solo adventure but also has the potential to be the life of the party. We all know a properly packed cooler can be a game changer, and with a speaker built-in, this gets you one step closer to portable perfection.
