What will part two be about?

Season three is all about the burgeoning romance between Penelope and Colin following Penelope’s falling-out with her lifelong best friend, Colin’s younger sister Eloise. Feeling alienated from society and increasingly desperate to escape her family, Penelope recruits Colin to help hone her skills for attracting a husband on the marriage mart. Suffice it to say, things get… complicated.

While episode four ends with [spoiler alert] Colin proposing marriage, things are looking unlikely to run smoothly, and the remainder of the season is sure to answer all the big questions — especially as they relate to Penelope’s fractured friendship with Eloise and her double life as the elusive Lady Whistledown.

The trailer for part two, which dropped on 3 June, teases the complications in the couple’s engagement as Penelope and Colin approach the aisle without her having revealed her alternate identity to him. “Colin cannot discover my secret,” she says in the clip. “Whistledown is power.”

At one point, Eloise threatens Penelope: “If it’s too difficult for you to reveal the truth, I will reveal it to him myself.”
