Coleen Rooney has revealed the jungle fitness routine that kept her in tip-top shape during her recent stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. The 38 year old WAG, who was a runner-up to McFly's Danny Jones, managed to maintain her fitness regime despite the lack of workout equipment in the camp.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Coleen revealed that she swapped her usual Reformer Pilates workouts for bodyweight squats in the jungle. She said: "At home every morning when I'm in the shower I do squats. I get up before the kids get up and I'll do a routine of squats and I know if I've got them done I can carry on. I would also do a few gym sessions and Reformer Pilates but in the Jungle, obviously, it was my squats."

During her time in the camp, Coleen, who is married to football legend Wayne Rooney, gave viewers a sneak peek into her routine as she slipped away from her campmates to do some squats. Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Coleen confessed: "I wake up really early so I pretty much try and keep the routine that I do back home."

She added: "I try and sneak off to do them on my own. I usually do squats in the shower!" Despite her luxurious lifestyle, many wondered how she would handle the less glamorous aspects of jungle life, but Coleen proved she was more than capable.

"I have got luxuries in life but I'm no princess," she declared. "I feel my campmates were surprised that I wasn't fazed by living outside. I might not have camped that much but I used to clean the apartments at a Pontins holiday park when I was younger."

She revealed: "Going to the dunny [camp lavatory] doesn't bother me, I've gone behind a tree before. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, I've got four boys, we've been in situations where we've got dirty. We go to ponds and mud trails. None of that fazed me and if I had all of my lot there, I could have stayed there for weeks and weeks."

Coleen opened up about her emotional rollercoaster on I'm a Celebrity, admitting she almost walked out early due to missing her family. Chatting with the Mirror after coming second on the show, Coleen shared how a glimpse of Wayne and the kids on her pillow led to tears.

"In that first week, I did wake up one morning and I looked at the pillow and I saw on it obviously Wayne and the kids, and I had a little cry and I thought I don't know whether I can go all this way," she confessed. However, Coleen quickly shook off the homesickness by diving into camp life, tackling chores like washing up and wood collecting. "I went off and did the washing up and collected the wood and did whatever I had to do," she explained.

Coleen admitted she also worried about seeming quiet, compared to the bigger personalities in camp. She said: "In the first week I just thought I can't see me going all the way because I was just me. We had loads of personalities in there who were great and I got on with, but they were performers and I felt like I was, at times, just sat there thinking, 'what do I bring?'"

"It wasn't uncomfortable. They made it comfortable. It was just me sitting back and looking at that camp and thinking I was more quieter than everyone else. But obviously people enjoyed it and wanted me to stay in there longer and see a bit more of me. I don't know why but they did."
