Always a fan of a sartorial statement, Claudia Winkleman commanded the attention of viewers while co-hosting Strictly Come Dancing last night in a statement leopard print jumpsuit.

Hello! reported that the 48-year-old presenter’s stylist, Sinead McKeefry, revealed on Instagram that she turns to designer fashion website Net-A-Porter to source her eye-catching outfits for the show – and, also, high street chain Zara.

Last week, Winkleman stunned in a black sleeveless, tuxedo-inspired dress by the the significantly more affordable Spanish brand.

McKeefry told the site that “Claud loves fashion so she is happy to experiment”.

As well as last week’s sophisticated look, Winkleman also turned to the shop for a red sequinned suit for a Strictly appearance in 2019.

This weekend’s ensemble - for the ‘Blackpool’ show, which marks the mid-way point of the series - was by American fashion designer Norma Kamali and costs just under £300.

Those tuning into the show were left divided over the head-turning look – which the mum-of-three paired with matching leopard print heels.

Commenting on her Instagram post showcasing the outfit – which garnered 35,000 ‘likes’ – one person wrote: “Why is Claudia wearing her pyjamas?”

Another commented: “Bloody ell Claudia has turned up in her jarmers #Strictly.”

However, a third shared: “I really like how Claudia is wearing fancy pajamas to work, much like the rest of us have been doing for a while.”

And a fourth added: “Onesie, jumpsuit, whatever we’re calling it I want Claudia's outfit..."

Winkleman hinted that the outfit almost didn’t happen, captioning her post: “We love you Blackpool. Strictly is on soon. P.s. Thank you to Hong from DHL (it's a long story).”

It comes as a stunning black dress worn by Winkleman on Strictly last month was reduced by 70% in sale.

The strapless velvet-trimmed embellished tulle gown by high-end fashion brand Marchesa went down by a whopping 67% from £2,525 to £834 on The Outnet.

The presenter recently opened up to the Daily Mail about fearing being fired for much of her career.

Winkleman said: “I’m waiting for somebody to tap me on the shoulder and go, ‘Oh, sorry, we’ve got this all wrong, you are not allowed to go in again, we’ve got Rylan instead,’ but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Imposter syndrome is incredibly useful.”

The presenter – who began co-hosting Strictly alongside Tess Daly in 2014 – said she didn’t want to be kind of person who thinks “I was born to do this, get out of my way.”

She added: “Feeling – don’t throw up – grateful and slightly surprised I think is a good thing. It keeps you on your toes.”
