Claudia Winkleman shares 'game-changing' announcement days before BBC The Traitors final

The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman has shared a "game-changing" announcement just days before the BBC show's final.

The hit BBC show returned for the third and final episode of the week on Friday (January 17) and with only three episodes left next week, the lies and manipulation were at an all time high.

The episode ended with a preview for next week, with host Claudia Winkleman sharing a game-changing announcement with the remaining contestants.

She was seen telling the stars at a roundtable: "I'm going to award one of you with an extraordinary power that has the potential to turn the entire game on its head."

As the titles rolled, fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions to the shocking clip.

One person asked: "Wait what's this extraordinary power Claudia mentioned in the preview for next week, she claims could turn the game on its head."

Another fan commented: "Imagine if the extraordinary power is to unbanish or resurrect a faithful #TheTraitorsUK."

Somebody else said: "Very curious about what this new twist is gonna be. I wonder if someone is gonna have a chance to learn who the Traitors are... #TheTraitors."

The episode began with the contestants gathering in the dining room for yet another breakfast, as they walked into the room with a much smaller table.

As they all walked in one by one, the final three left were Jake, Lisa and Leanne as the others predicted who would be returning.

After much speculation, Jake and Leanne were the ones to walk in, which meant Traitors Minah and Charlotte had murdered Lisa the night before.

At the banishment ceremony, Leon and Frankie got the most heat but after getting four votes each, it was up to Freddie to decide who would be banished.

Freddie decided to go with Leon, who had to get up and tell his co-stars he was a Faithful before departing the castle forever.

The Traitors continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
