Claire Sweeney cuddles up to Ricky Hatton in latest Tenerife holiday snap as they fuel romance rumours
Claire Sweeney and Ricky Hatton have been spotted on holiday together in Tenerife. The Coronation Street actress has been rumoured to be with Ricky Hatton for weeks and now it seems they've took their relationship to the next step.
After watching the Manchester City game, Claire and Ricky posed for a picture in a sports bar in Tenerife called The Beach Cabin. Ricky captioned the post: "Great day with me besties. Great win for the blues as well."
Fans were quick to notice that Ricky was pictured with his arm around Claire, with one commenting: "You and Claire are the best match ever." Another added: "Oh I just adore Claire Sweeney, aww cute couple." While a third said: "Claire you look glowing."
OK! has reached out to both Claire and Ricky's representatives for comment.
While on holiday the boxer has also posted to his Instagram stories, running in the beautiful scenery of Los Cristianos, a town in the sunny Tenerife. It's believed that the pair met last year, after both were cast to appear on ITV's Dancing on Ice.
Ricky, 45, is thought to have been the one to make the first move leading to them going on several dates. An insider told OK! that Ricky is said "besotted" with Claire, 53, and the feelings are very much reciprocated.
A source told us: "Claire’s been very unlucky in the past with her love life but she’s really happy with Ricky. He’s got a kind heart and really makes her laugh.
"That’s the way to Claire’s heart really, making her laugh and she’s been nothing but smiles since meeting Ricky. It’s a very unlikely pairing but they’ve both realised that they actually have so much in common and both really love each other’s company and they’re laughing all the time."
The source added: "Claire also loves boxing and she likes a rough and tough man and they’re getting on really well.
"I think they’re going to try and get away soon, maybe have a Caribbean holiday, but they’re just enjoying each other’s company for the minute and having a bit of fun."
Ricky appeared to make his feelings clear as he shared a sweet Instagram tribute to Claire on Wednesday, 17 April. Posting to his Instagram Stories, he shared a snap from behind the scenes on Dancing on Ice, with him dressed in boxing gear, whilst Claire looked glamorous in a ball gown.
They later looked smitten on Saturday, 20 April as they attended the opening of the new Co-op Live in Manchester together.
