One of the very best things about cold weather is that it's hot toddy season!

This simple combo of cinnamon, honey, lemon, bourbon, and hot water will warm you inside and out. It's perfect for taking the chill off after a big bout of outdoor activities, or for staving off a sore throat if you're starting to come down with something, or just for sipping on while you curl up under a big blanket and indulge in a good book or a favorite show.

This scalable recipe makes a big batch, so you can host an outdoor gathering—perhaps a snow-shoeing trek, or some Christmas caroling—then warm everyone up with their own mug when you get back inside.
