She explained: "Green tinsel is my must have Christmas hack of the year. Put it around your tension poles around your bannisters and through your tree to fill out those gaps."
Kirsty demonstrated the process in the video, taking took a two metre long tinsel in the same colour as her fir. She purchased this for £1 at B&Q.
To make everything look fancy, she wrapped the tinsel between each branch. Alternatively, you can fill out any sparse areas of your tree with the extra branches and garlands.
In order to hide the fact you've placed extra bits and bobs between the branches, decorate the rest of the tree with baubles or tinsel like you usually would. It's surprisingly easy to do – and the final results look absolutely fantastic.
