Christmas tree hair is the wackiest Christmas beauty trend yet

The Christmas Instagram beauty trends this year have been endless, and pretty weird too, from Christmas jumper nail art to candy cane eyeliner.

And the latest, and probably wackiest, one yet is Christmas tree hair.

It does exactly what it says on the tin – people are sculpting their dos into the shape of a pine tree and decorating the result in a super-Christmasy fashion.

Some are even spraying their locks green.

But how on earth do you get your hair to stay up like that? According to a video by What’s Trending, people are using a cone or empty water bottle as a stand to wrap their hair around.

The rest is hair ties and a whole load of hairspray.

There’s no cutting corners with this do, or as one Instagrammer and stylist Brooke Klay said, “go big or go home”.

And it’s not just women trying out the do, either.

There’s no limit to how much tinsel you can use (our childhood dreams come true).

While some have gone for a more toned-down version.
