Christine Bleakley’s bridal gown was never going to be subtle – or simple. When you tie the knot with a former England star, you need to go all out. And that’s exactly what the TV presenter did.

Tying the knot with her beau Frank Lampard in a star-studded ceremony yesterday, Bleakley donned a bespoke designer dress that set her back a jaw-dropping £10,000.

Fashioned by British designer Suzanne Neville – who’s also made gowns for singer Katherine Jenkins and Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton – it was definitely a show-stopping number.

Boasting sheer sleeves with an intricate floral motif, a plunging neckline (that even the vicar couldn’t help notice), a satin waist belt that highlighted her slim frame and a dramatic big skirt, it was a frock worthy of a princess.

The 36-year-old completed the elegant look by sweeping her hair into a classic bridal updo, which she fastened her veil to. She kept her accessories simple, opting to wear only a pair of earrings and leaving all the attention on her wedding ring as she left the Knightsbridge church.

While Bleakley was certainly the belle of the ball (it was her big day, after all), she wasn’t the only snappy dresser at the ceremony. Holly Willoughby was one of the famous faces on the guest list and opted to wear a black lace skater dress with sheer panels.

Keeping her long blonde hair loose and her make-up natural, the “This Morning” presenter looked as effortlessly on-point as always.

Interior designer Kelly Hoppen also attended, donning a black dress and faux fur shrug for the occasion. Lampard’s cousin Jamie Redknapp was another celebrity attendee, who arrived with his wife Louise on his arm.

Piers Morgan, Philip Schofield and Ant and Dec also joined the celebrations, which ended at The Arts Club and reportedly boasted a performance from Ed Sheeran.
