Chloe Madeley opened up about her emotional struggle at the airport, shedding tears as she faced leaving her daughter Bodhi for an extended period for the first time since giving birth.

The fitness guru and television star became a mother to little Bodhi with her now ex-husband James Haskell in August 2022. The couple, who have since parted ways, announced their split towards the end of last year after five years of marriage.

In a joint statement released amid rumours about their relationship, they acknowledged their separation in September, emphasising their commitment to co-parenting their daughter.

At the time, they expressed that their priority was Bodhi's well-being. Despite their split, Chloe and James have been seen together on various occasions, including their first Christmas post-separation and a recent family outing to London Zoo, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Maintaining a positive co-parenting dynamic, Chloe shared a heartfelt Father's Day tribute to James on Sunday, June 16. She posted an adorable throwback photo on her Instagram Story of James holding baby Bodhi during a holiday, captioning it: "Happy Father's Day @jameshaskell we love you! " and playfully tagging him with a "#1 DAD" badge GIF.

In a touching tribute to her father, TV presenter Richard Madeley, Chloe revealed: "One of my favourite qualities about myself is trying to make others feel better or calmer about things, and I grew up learning that from you and being perpetually inspired by it. It's your gift. Thank you for being the kindest and most reassuring man I'm lucky enough to call my dad."

However, it wasn't all positive, as she also shared her upset at leaving her daughter for a week, writing: "First ever week without my baby girl but my side and I cried the wholllle way through security like a psychopath [crying laughing emoji]."

She continued: "Never done more than 2 days and that wasn't even a full 2 days... WILL SHE REMEMBER ME? " She then added a poll asking her followers if they thought her daughter would remember her straight away, or might need time to get used to being with her again.

This confession followed after Chloe had publicly announced her status in one of her Q&A sessions, where she declared she was "SINGLE and so f**king happy about it," before responding to another fan praising her mental strength, saying: "How do you stay so strong mentally? You're an inspiration to so many people."

Chloe responded saying: "This is a very lovely message, thank you for making me feel good about myself."

She opened up further, adding: "I have FAR too much to be grateful for to allow myself to feel anything other than happy right now.

"Dark days have gone and I know they will come again, but I'm basking in the sunlight while it shines. There's a lot going on in the world right now that makes me feel undeservingly lucky. Mental health battles aside, more in context of general day to day mood and outlook, I think more people need to recognise how f***ing good they have it."
