Children's TV star welcomes baby boy saying 'welcome to the world our angel'
A beloved star of children’s TV has welcomed a baby boy into the world. John Adamo Pearce, who is known as the Purple Wiggle in The Wiggles, has revealed that he and his wife Jessie became parents to their first child on Monday, 16 December.
As they shared the happy news, the pair also revealed the name that they’d settle on for the little one - Henry Nicholas Adamo Pearce. Brimming with joy, John, 33, said: “Our beautiful boy has arrived, and we couldn’t feel more blessed. Jessie and I are savouring every precious moment with our little angel. We’re so thankful for the love and support from everyone.”
Meanwhile, in an Instagram post the TV personality, who has starred on the children’s show since 2021, shared a series of snaps of his family of three. “HENRY NICHOLAS ADAMO PEARCE 16.12.24 Welcome to the world our beautiful angel. We have never felt a love like this,” he wrote.

In response to the exciting announcement, John and Jessie were supported by the Wiggles family who gushed over the arrival of Henry. A statement from The Wiggles read: “The Wiggles family has grown again! John and Jessie’s baby boy is a wonderful gift just in time for the holiday season. We can’t wait to welcome him on his first adventure in the Big Red Car!”
Fans of the show were also keen to share their love with John and his family and flocked to the comments section to send messages of congratulations. “Congrats!!!! This is the announcement I’ve been waiting to see! So happy for you all! Enjoy that sweet little one,” wrote one.
“Congratulations!! A baby is the best gift you’ll ever receive. You two will be great parents!,” another added. “Gorgeous!!! Big congratulations and welcome to the world little Henry!,” said a third.
Henry’s arrival marks the sixth addition to The Wiggles family, and comes just months after Red Wiggle, Caterina Mete, welcomed twin daughters, Gigi and Dolly, into the world. Prior to joining The Wiggles three years ago, John rose to prominence as a member of the Australian dance and music group Justice Crew.
In 2010 the group won Australia’s Got Talent and scooped a prize of $250,000. Following their success on the show, Justice Crew have released two ARIA chart-topping songs and secured eight ARIA Award nominations. The group also competed in America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, though were eliminated.
