Comments such as "Oh Lordy! There goes my Xmas diet! " and "I am sold," reflect the excitement around the dessert. The great news is that it's not only easy to make but also serves about six people, making it an ideal centrepiece for dinner parties or a Christmas Day feast.
Nathan advises that you'll need just six ingredients for this sweet sensation: 100 grams of softened butter, 300 grams of soft light brown sugar, four beaten eggs, 250 grams of self-raising flour, 20 grams of cocoa powder, and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Ball.
How to make Terry's Chocolate Orange fondant
Firstly, grease your slow cooker with some butter. Sift your flour and cocoa powder into a large bowl, and add 150g of your brown sugar, 4 eggs and 100g melted butter. Mix using whisk until well combined. Add 3-4 tbsp of water to help loosen the consistency.
Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker and add 100g of Terry’s Chocolate Orange pieces inside the mixture. Melt the remaining 57g of chocolate and mix with the remaining 150g of sugar and 275ml of boiling water in a jug.
Pour the chocolate liquid all over the cake, cover the slow cooker with a clean tea towel and place on the lid, then cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4-5 hours. You can add more Terry’s Chocolate Orange for decoration.
Serve hot and with ice cream if you wish.
