Check out Barbour's collab with ERDEM – combining utilitarian heritage with romantic luxury
Heritage UK label Barbour has changed the game when it comes to fresh, modern collaborations that introduce new audiences to its iconic utilitarian pieces. Whether it’s ongoing collections with Scandi-label GANNI or collaborating with Brit It Girl, Alexa Chung, the label has successfully brought its designs to the 21st century.
The latest collab brings a hint of luxury to the centuries-old brand. Following its SS24 runway collaboration, Barbour is working with Brit designer ERDEM to create a line of romantic and feminine outerwear with the technical chops of the heritage brand.
The capsule takes clear inspiration from ERDEM's iconic silhouettes, signature florals, and feminine touches, while Barbour brings its revered approach to utility to create a functional yet fashionable capsule collection.
‘I was inspired by the extraordinary Barbour archive, particularly their fabrications and hardware and loved the idea of translating their heritage of practical, utilitarian details and combining it with my language of the feminine,' said Erdem Moralioglu MBE, Creative Director of the brand.
You’ll find four flower-inspired pieces of outerwear with floral prints, embellished hardware and unique silhouettes like oversized collars, peplum waists and swing styles. All of the jackets are wax coated for water resistance, and Barbour's Wax For Life program means pieces can be re-waxed and repaired to last for years longer.
In addition to the capsule pieces, 25 of Barbour's pre-owned Beaufort jackets have been reworked with ERDEM's signature embellishments that can be shopped exclusively at Harrods.
The Barbour x ERDEM collaboration is available to shop at barbour.com and erdem.com.
