The Chase star splits from girlfriend just a week after celebrating 1st anniversary
Presenter Hayley Palmer has confirmed her split from The Chase's Mark Labbett after one year together in a new statement shared to her Instagram Stories.
The Sky TV radio presenter told her followers: "It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways.
"We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future."
She ended the statement with, "Off I go to listen to Taylor Swift" followed by a broken heart emoji.
The sad news comes just a week after the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary with a trip to the beach - the place they had their first date.
The 58 year old Chaser, who is known on the ITV quiz show as The Beast, shared a snap himself with Hayley by the coast with the caption: "One Year Anniversary. Same beach, same bench :)"
Hayley, 42, and Mark made it official a year ago, with Mark telling The Sun of their first date: "We found a bench in a peaceful spot by the beach and spent hours talking and getting to know each other, so we’ve decided to go back to celebrate our anniversary.
“As luck would have it, there’s a rather nice Beefeater near to where her parents live. They already know Hayley’s order — nachos and chips.”
Hayley is a television presenter most known for her work on Sky TV Music shows and for on retail channel Ideal World.
Speaking previously about her relationship with the master quizzer, Hayley gushed to OK!: "He’s a really honest guy - he’s honest about everything and I’ve got to say he does give the best cuddles as well.
"He’s very down to earth, considerably down earth, he’s super kind, very thoughtful and very considerate and really supported of my career and like a big teddy bear."
