Celebrity fashion from the early noughties that we'll struggle to forget

Ah, the noughties. It was an era defined by an unhealthy penchant for velour tracksuits, slinky ‘going out’ tops and crochet ponchos.

And though it seems like a rather badly dressed dream, the fact remains that noughties fashion is slowly making an unanticipated comeback this season.

It all started when brand-of- the-moment Vetements sent a model down the runway in something that certainly got the FROW whispering.

Yes, Demna Gvasalia collaborated with the ‘It’ brand of the early ’00s, Juicy Couture. And when Paris Couture Fashion Week approves a label, we don’t ask questions.

Sure enough, the fashion crowd soon reunited with their exes. We’re talking buckled-up cowboy boots, tinted sunnies that would make Anastacia proud and the return of low-rise jeans.

But who are the pioneers of the trend, you ask? Look to (or point the finger at) the likes of models of the moment Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner. You only need to scroll through their Instagram accounts to find visual evidence of baker boy hats, XXS designer handbags and even party dresses approved by Paris Hilton herself.

So, with ’00s trends set to make a comeback (whether you’re ready or not), why not reminisce on the best noughties celebrity fashion on record? Please, just leave the Ugg boots at home…
