IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Amber Heard formally announces appeal in defamation case
On 1 June, a jury found the Aquaman actress liable of defaming her ex-husband Johnny Depp in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. He was awarded more than $10 million (£8 million) in damages. At the time, Heard's legal team stated that they planned to appeal the ruling and her attorney Elaine Bredehoft made their intention formal in court in Fairfax, Virginia on Friday. According to Deadline, Judge Penney Azcarate told Bredehoft that Heard would have to put up an $8.35 million (£6.8 million) bond.
