Casa Amor return date confirmed - and Love Island's couples are in serious danger

Casa Amor has become one of Love Island's most notorious segments - and as show execs tease its imminent return during tonight's show (Friday, 28 June), it's already looking like some couples could be headed for trouble.

In tonight's instalment - in which Joey Essex's love triangle with Grace Jackson and Jessy Potts gets even messier, and someone drops the L-bomb - producers wrap up the show with a neon Casa Amor sign - and it's believed it'll return on Sunday.

Over the years, the second villa has become a favourite element of the show and it's never failed to provide more than its fair share of jaw-dropping moments.

There was Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard's awkward reunion in season 5, after which Amy learned her dancer beau had only returned single because he was turned down by his Casa Amor love interest. And the next season's Shaughna Phillips delivered her famous "congrats hun" putdown when Callum Jones returned from the villa arm-in-arm with Molly Smith.

With some of this year's couples already looking like they're on or headed towards rocky ground - and Joey seemingly torn between Jessy and Grace - it's no doubt going to make must-watch telly.

Elsewhere tonight, Ciaran Davies drops the L-bomb, despite increasing tension between him and Nicole. Despite the pair being coupled-up since the beginning, viewers have begun voicing some scepticism about the pair, but it seems it isn't shared by the villa couple.

In tonight's show, Ciaran and Nicole have a cosy moment in bed, with the hunky surveyor and rugby player from South Wales telling her "I love you so much", and Nicole replying, "I actually love you too".

Elsewhere, Joey gets the cold shoulder from Grace - who is less-than-impressed with his new relationship with Jessy and delivers him a brutal eight-word takedown after he tries to repair things.

After making new girl Jessy a coffee, the former Towie star then asks Jess to deliver Grace a cup of tea, and it doesn't go down well.

When she’s handed it, Grace puts it back into the corridor and insists: “I don’t want your s**tty green tea, mate.”

It might go from bad to worse when Joey's secret kiss with Jessy becomes not-so-secret. Speaking to Jess about their smooch on the terrace on Thursday night's episode, Jessy says: "We kissed before, we kissed on the terrace…”

Jess then proceeds to tell her friend it'll create a "s**tstorm" but if "it’s meant to be it will be. For you two, or him and her.”
