- Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2019
Carrie Symonds has made quite a name for herself with her sartorial choices since becoming the UK’s ‘First Girlfriend’ in July.
Over the past few months, she’s made clear her signature style by wearing one of this season’s most popular styles on repeat: the midi dress. And today was no different.
The 31-year-old supported her boyfriend, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, at his key note speech on day four of the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.
For the occasion, Carrie stepped out in an eye-catching hot pink midi dress from & Other Stories.
The ‘Ruffle Button Up Midi Dress’ features a statement bodice ruffle, gathered puff shoulders and a frilled edge high neckline.
It retails for £85 and is available in all sizes.
The Prime Minister’s girlfriend looked very chic as she styled her vibrant frock with a pair of black pointed court shoes, a pair of small hoop earrings and a collection of rings on her finger.
Her hair was styled in an effortless blow-dry she tried to tame in the windy conditions in Manchester.
It’s not the first time Carrie has opted for a stand-out dress to attend official engagements.
Earlier this summer for her debut appearance at No.10, the keen conservationist wore a gorgeous red and pink floral midi dress from British label Ghost. The £120 dress proved popular as it sold out within hours of her wearing it.
It appears that Carrie loves to champion affordable high street pieces, including the blue animal print midi dress she was spotted wearing earlier this week on day two of the party conference.
Carrie donned the “Jungle Cat Pleated Dress” from Whistles, which costs £179. The dress features pleat details, a fitted waist and can be styled with a pair of trainers, mid-heel and a clutch-bag.
Luckily, the dress is still in stock and is available in sizes 4-10.
