On Monday, Carrie Symonds welcomed a new addition to the family: a rescue puppy.

The girlfriend of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson introduced the pup on Twitter, saying: “Meet our gorgeous little rescue puppy, Dilyn #AdoptDontShop”.

For the occasion, Carrie wore a striking green floral midi dress by Ghost, the same brand she wore to make her Downing Street debut in July.

The 31-year-old quickly demonstrated her sartorial prowess, with the high street number selling out in minutes.

For this occasion, Carrie chose the brand’s Nicola Dress, which is currently on sale at £101.50 - down from £145.
