Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's Love Story With JFK Jr. Is Being Made Into A TV Show
The makers behind the anthology TV franchise American Story, which brought us American Horror Story, The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, The Assassination Gianni Versace and more, have yet another exciting series in store for us.
This time, the series' creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, are turning their talents towards the romance genre. To kick it off, they'll be retelling the sweet yet tragic story of John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.

While very little about the upcoming series is still yet to be confirmed, this is everything that we know so far, including the potential plot, cast and release date:
What will the plot of 'American Love Story' be?
When it lands, the series is expected to follow the real-life story of Kennedy and Bessette and their tragically short lived romance. The pair met in the early 1990s and married in 1996, just three years before the fatal plane crash that unfortunately killed them both, as well as Bessette's sister, Lauren.
In an interview with Variety, executive producer, Brad Simpson, stated what fans can expect to see from the plot. 'It is a story that really resonates right now. It’s amazing. A lot of younger women are looking to her as sort of a representational icon of a certain period of time that’s really fascinating, and hopefully, we’ll be able to bring that to the screen soon,' he told the outlet.
Ultimately, viewers will be given a deep insight into the couple's relationship, and the tensions that arose from the intense media scrutiny they faced, as well as their individual careers.
Who will star in 'American Love Story'?
The cast of American Love Story is still yet to be confirmed, however, that hasn't stopped eager fans from pitching guesses as to which stars should play the iconic couple. So far, fans across social media have suggested that they want to see Jacob Elordi portray John F. Kennedy Jr. While for Bessette, a hopeful range of wishes are in the mix including The Crown's Elizabeth Debicki, Jodie Comer and Carole Radziwill.
Much like the other details of the show, the actual cast is yet to be announced but we'll be keenly waiting to hear who will be depicting one of the most loved couples from the 1990s.
When will 'American Love Story' be released?
It is not yet known when American Love Story will be released, given the fact that the series is still very much in its infancy, but Simpson added in his interview, 'We have great scripts on that. We’re trying to figure out when it’ll land.'
