The 2018 edition of Cannes Film Festival is underway and it’s already shaping up to be a headline-hitting affair.
The proceedings kicked off on Tuesday with a look at the jury, which, for the first time, is predominantly female. Hollywood heavyweight Cate Blanchett is chairing the jury, which includes ‘Twilight’ star Kristen Stewart and French actress Lea Seydoux, one of many to accuse Harvey Weinstein of making unwelcome advances.
Other iconic women who will be deciding which films go home with accolades include ‘Selma’ director Ava DuVernay and Burundian songwriter Khadja Nin.
Cannes Film Festival is always a glamorous affair. With red carpet appearances from the likes of Penelope Cruz, Kristen Stewart, Emilia Clarke and Thandie Newton, we’re set to be treated to a wealth of sartorial prowess.
Stay tuned.
