Nothing can beat the bubbly, delicate citrus notes of a fruity glass of prosecco on a Friday, or you know, at the end of a hard Tuesday. So, it’s fair to say we all started having slight heart palpitations when it was announced last year that there was going to be a worldwide prosecco shortage.

Luckily, those scary times are now behind us and our fridges remain fully stocked. However, as an added security measure, a genius brand called MySecco have now created a ‘do it yourself’ kit, allowing you to get your hands on a bottle of premium sparkling wine without leaving your living room.

The £19.99 kit comes with yeast, syrup, fizz capsules and all the other tools needed in order to make everyone’s fave tipple. And for those worried that this sounds like a bit of an effort, all you have to do is, “pour warm water and the included yeast and syrup sachets into the bottle and give it a swirl”.

Allowing you to do something much better than turn water into wine, because you are turning water into prosecco.

You will have to wait a tolerable 14 days though before you can taste your masterpiece, which is sure to be oh-so satisfying. Not to mention, make you ever so slightly smug as you serve the handmade prosecco to your gal pals.

We’re already planning on stocking up on the DIY kits when they come back in stock on Friday. After all, there is nothing worse than a prosecco emergency. So, get your hands on one of these and your fridge will never run dry of fizziness.
