Imagine if you were offered the chance to travel the world and stay in incredible accommodation all along the way for just $100 a year (£76).

But that there was just one, hairy catch – you have to look after someone’s pet in return.

Hardly a catch, right?

A company called Trusted Housesitters connects people who want to travel the world – but feel bad about leaving their pups or cats behind – with people who are happy to travel to and look after their pet while they’re away instead.

Simply put, they go away, and you stay in their house looking after their animals.

In return, you get to stay in their accommodation, which can be in a variety of incredible locations worldwide.

A little like Airbnb, you build up a reputation by collecting good reviews, and once you have enough, you’re chances of sitting an incredible mansion are much higher.

It’s a win-win situation; they get to travel with the knowledge that their pet is in safe hands, while you get to stay somewhere amazing new whilst looking after a furball.

And just in case the pet gets poorly while you’re there, you have free 24-hour veterinary access too.
