If you’re a #GirlBoss (or aspiring to be one), spring into productive, efficient and inspirational action this season by doing some spring-cleaning of your own. Resting and refresh your workspace will help get clear your head for business, as usual.

Here are 10 ways to get your girl power back into place, in the run up to summer.

1. Create a work space

From an office to a small corner in your home, it’s great to have a dedicated space for working. If you don’t already have one, see if you can create one: nooks turned into cute workspaces are things of DIY dreams.

2. Declutter!

To get the fresh spring clean feeling, most important is cleaning out your work space by swiping everything off your messy desk and finding a real home for the things you don’t use everyday. A clean work space = a clean mind. This is essential for all your brilliant ideas to flow, so have a well needed declutter to make it clean, organised and inspiring again.

3. Make homes

You can buy storage boxes, stationary holders or desktop organisers for super cheap and they are so valuable in creating homes for all your stuff to go back into when you’re done using them.

4. Tackle overflowing drawers

To take charge of your career your must first tackle those drawers. I think everyone has ‘the’ drawer, the one that’s becoming increasingly hard to close from everything you’ve crammed in there. Identify anything which can be dumped, like those dry highlighters or empty packaging.

5. Don’t forget tech!

Once you have a sparkling work space, delete the stuff you no longer need on your laptop or computer. Clean out and organise your emails too and unsubscribe from repetitive spam mail.

6. Create a fresh computer desktop

Clean up and organise your desktop, or give it a fresh new background picture.

7. Make a Pinterest vision board

Go crazy with pinning your dream office, goals, job, and future lifestyle on a Pinterest board. This can help you envision having these things some day and inspire you to work hard towards them.

8. Join a new group

There are some great pages and groups for girl bosses alike, and surrounding yourself with new and like-minded people is not only refreshing but important for support and helpful for sharing tips and tricks for business growth.

For creative freelancers, working from home might seem isolated but there are whole communities out there that will help your writer’s block, or give you a giggle on a stressful day. A group full of talented ladies doing what they do and inspiring each other – that’s something every girl boss should be part of.

Some of my favourite groups are on Facebook: Creative Superheroes, Ladypreneur Community and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls.

9. Make it somewhere that inspires you

Adding some wall art or fresh flowers to your workspace can make a huge difference in brightening up your work area and giving it a fresh face, while giving you ultimate spring vibes.

Top tip: You can find loads of free printable wall art on Pinterest!

10. Say hello to sunshine

Lastly, open up the windows and let that fresh air into your ready to kick butt #GirlBoss workspace.
