Call the Midwife's Helen George and Jack Ashton split

Helen George is no longer in a relationship with her Call The Midwife co-star Jack Ashton.

In a statement to The Mirror published on Saturday, the Call The Midwife actress revealed that she and her partner Jack had separated earlier this year after seven years together.

"Some months ago, we separated," Helen, 39, told the outlet. "Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter."

Helen has played Trixie Franklin on Call The Midwife since 2012, while Jack joined the show as vicar Tom Hereward two years later. The pair sparked a romance after travelling to South Africa together to film the show's 2016 Christmas special.

The former couple share two daughters; Wren, five, and Lark, who was born in November 2021.

The Strictly Come Dancing contestant was previously married to actor Oliver Boot between 2011 and 2015.

Season 13 of Call the Midwife began filming in May, and Helen will star as Anna Leonowens in The King and I on London's West End between January and March 2024.
