Brooks Brothers Signs Knicks’ Jalen Brunson as an Ambassador

The NBA tunnel has become famous as a fashion runway and now Brooks Brothers can be part of the mix.

The venerable retailer has signed New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson as an ambassador and he will don the company’s tailored clothing to select games and other events. Most recently, he wore a Brooks Brothers 1818 suit to the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 19.

“Brooks Brothers has been dressing legends for over two centuries and we are excited to welcome Jalen Brunson to the Brooks Brothers family,” said Ken Ohashi, chief executive officer of Brooks Brothers. “Jalen embodies the sportsmanship, dedication and optimistic spirit that represents Brooks Brothers and we are proud and incredibly happy to celebrate his talent.”

Brunson has been a professional for six years and is the first player in NBA history to produce 50 points, five rebounds, five assists, five steals and five three-pointers in a single game. But more than just his skills on the court, he’s also known for his philanthropy. In 2022 he established the Second Round Foundation, whose mission is to create equity for young people through education, sport and community.

“I am thrilled to join the Brooks Brothers family,” Brunson said. “When I think of authentic American style, Brooks Brothers is at the top of the list. It is a brand I have long admired and have worn for some of the most personal milestones in my life.”

The signing of Brunson is a first for the company. Although it has had other ambassadors over the years including musician Wynton Marsalis, this marks its foray into the NBA arena.
