After a somewhat subdued phygital event last tear all eyes are on the BAFTAs red carpet as celebrities descend on the Royal Albert Hall dressed in their finest. One such celebrity is Bridgerton’s newest leading lady, Simone Ashley, who swapped the corsets of Clyveden House for a relaxed fitting neon number.

Wearing a hot pink look, Ashley arrived on the BAFTAs red carpet on Sunday ahead of the release of Bridgerton season two later this month.

Ashley stepped into a head-to-toe hot pink look, straight from the Valentino autumn/winter 2022 catwalk at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month.

The two-in-one trouser and blouse combination featured a diaphanous top half, with a high neck and flowing cape-like sleeves, that highlighted the curved crop top from the catwalk, whilst the tailored wide-leg bottom half elongated the 26-year-olds legs for a taste of duality that Pierpaolo Piccioli is known for.

The Sex Education star completed her look with a pair of matching hot pink platform high heels whilst a diamond tennis bracelet sparkled on her wrist.

A striking smokey eye was an inspired make-up choice, too. Some may not have been as brave to wear such a striking outfit colour and with a heavily lined look, but the risk paid off for Ashley. The dark eyeshadow and liner highlighted her brown eyes and envy-inducing eyebrows, whilst her flowing brown locks were worn out with a loose wave for a full 70s vibe.

The British-Indian actress stars in the newest season of Bridgerton, set to be released later this month.

The sophomore season follows a new story of Ashley’s character and a new love interest of Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), Kate Sharma, as the new couple navigate the dramas of regency-era gossip from none other than Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers.
