After two years of uncertainty, what a treat to see one of the biggest nights for British film finally back in person. The BAFTAs 2022 were hosted by actress and all-round funny girl, Rebel Wilson, at its regular venue of the Royal Albert Hall but after a scaled-back affair last year, all eyes were on the red carpet as the nominees and guests arrived for the ceremony.
Among the nominees for Best Leading Actress were Lady Gaga for her role in House of Gucci and Alana Haim for hers in Licorice Pizza, who stunned on the red carpet in custom Ralph Lauren and custom Louis Vuitton respectively, but the gong ultimately went to Joanna Scanlan for her role in After Life.
Elsewhere, West Side Story stars Ariana DeBose and Rachel Zegler wowed at the annual event, with DeBose picking up the award for Best Supporting Actress in her custom Oscar de la Renta gown, and Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Kaluuya showed up for the men.
