Bride pranks groom by sending her brother for ‘first look’ photos instead of her

While your wedding day can be the best day in any person’s life, it doesn’t mean it comes without nerves.
When one groom was really feeling it on the day of his nuptials, his bride decided to lighten the mood by pulling a prank.
As Heidi Zherelyev’s groom, Val, waited outside to take ‘first look’ photos of his bride (a wedding day trend where the emotional reveal of the bride in her wedding dress is caught on camera), Heidi came up with an idea.
The bride, with the help of her bridesmaids, dressed her brother Eric in an old wedding dress instead.
Eric then quietly headed outside to meet Val as he faced the other way in preparation for the photos.

When the groom turned around, his reaction was priceless.
“My husband was so surprised, and stunned to see Eric instead of me. Thankfully for him however, he is used to pranks and jokes being pulled in my family” Heidi told Bored Panda.
The groom’s reaction was captured by the couple’s wedding day photographer Nichole Cline. “I was super excited to do their first look in general and when Heidi told me about sending her brother down, it was just the icing on the cake.
“I have never photographed pranks like this. But I’m sure beings its now a trend, its not going to be my last time,” Nichole told the website.

Heidi revealed that her brother’s involvement in the prank turned out to mean a lot more to her than mere comic value.
“The reason why I chose Eric to dress up,” she told Bored Panda, “My father passed away when I was 18, and my two brothers were always there.
“My brother Carson was officiating the ceremony, and I wanted Eric to have a special part too.”
