A bride-to-be sounded off about her displeasure over not receiving the “blingy” engagement ring of her dreams — and the internet is firing back.

In an anonymous post (which has since been removed) on the online wedding forum Wedding Bee, the woman revealed that despite telling her fiancé specifically what type of ring she wanted, he proposed with something entirely different.

“I got engaged a couple weeks ago to my boyfriend of ten years. I always wanted a larger canary yellow diamond ring on yellow gold. A few months ago my boyfriend asked me to send him photos of the ring styles I liked and I told him exactly what I wanted,” the woman wrote, according to the Daily Mail.

But that’s when her fiancé’s mother stepped in, and told the bride-to-be that while she too likes yellow diamonds, they don’t have yellow diamonds in their family. Instead, the post writer received a vintage ring that had been in the family for some time. “Apparently she wanted me to have his grandmother’s ring,” the bride said of her future mother-in-law.

“I like really blingy looks. Well he finally proposed on January 3. The proposal wasn’t spectacular either,” the woman wrote. “The ring he gave him is with his grandmother’s diamond which I didn’t want and I’m suppose to pass it down to our future children.”

“I’m upset because it’s not what I always wanted and I waited so long for a proposal. Does anyone know how I can talk to him about it?” she asked the forum, also posting an image of the ring on the website.

That’s when fellow users of the online forum started to call the woman out, using words like “ungrateful” and “brat.”

“That’s a big blingy ring. You sound extremely ungrateful. Hate is such a strong word. That’s his grandmothers ring that you say you hate. How disrespectful,” one woman responded. Another reader didn’t mince words, simply writing “you sound like a brat.”

However, it wasn’t all negative criticism toward the dissatisfied bride-to-be. Several people chimed in to defend her take, saying that after being in a relationship with the man for so long, she deserved to receive the ring of her dreams.

“I don’t think it’s ungrateful at all to want to love your ring!” one reader wrote. “And let’s be real, after 10 years, you deserve a proposal with a lot of thought and effort.”

What would you do if you were in this bride’s situation?
