What is the Bob and Brad Q2 Mini Massage Gun?
Q2 Mini Massage Gun
Bob and Brad’s Mini Q2 Massage Gun is one of the brand’s most popular devices. It weighs just 430 grams and comes with a zipped storage case, so you can soothe your long-suffering muscles on the go.
Despite its compact size, it has five speed settings to choose from – whether you prefer something gentle or fancy a deep massage – and it comes with five interchangeable massage heads, including a ball head, an air cushion head, a bullet head, a U-shaped head and a flat head to tackle all types of aches and pains. Most mini massage guns only come with one or two attachments.
It charges via a USB-C cable (it takes three hours to charge fully) and will last for around four hours. There’s also an excellent auto-off mode for safety – it will automatically switch off after 10 minutes if it’s not in use.
For those new to percussive therapy, it comes with a user manual and suggested treatments for different parts of the body, letting you know which attachment to use, how long to massage for and what technique to follow.
The GHI’s Bob and Brad Q2 Mini Massage Gun review
Score: 98/100
We put the gadget through rigorous testing at the Good Housekeeping Institute. Our expert trialled it over a three-week period, using it after a variety of workouts, including weight-lifting, running and yoga.
They assessed how easy it was to control, whether it moved smoothly over their skin and how effective the different massage heads were. They also considered noise level, battery life and any additional features.
So, what was the verdict on the Bob and Brad Q2 Mini? Unsurprisingly given it’s top-of-the-class score of 98/100, it made a huge impression on our expert. They were extremely impressed with its performance – thanks to its lightweight design, it was a pleasure to use (no aching arms here) plus its motor was very quiet, so they could massage their muscles while watching TV.
It's extremely smooth to use, with no painful juddering or jogging when it moved over the joints, and it scored highly for ease of use, too. There’s just one responsive control button to turn the device on and off, and cycle through the speeds. Thanks to the ergonomic design and smooth no-slip silicone material, it's also easy to grip and manoeuvre.
The neat storage case also deserves a mention – it’s sturdy and feels high-quality, with dedicated space for each massage head and a hard outer shell to prevent damage.
Is the Bob and Brad Q2 Mini Massage Gun worth it?
It’s a yes from us. Whether you’re new to percussive therapy or you’re after a new device that will be with you for the long run, the Bob and Brad Q2 Mini Massage Gun offers incredible value for money right now. It performed better than some of the pricier massage guns in our test, it’s super practical (you can take it anywhere with you) and it’s versatile. Throw in the quiet motor, impressive battery life and well-thought-out extras and it’s hard to fault.
