Blue Peter legend Katy Hill poses with lookalike daughter - after quitting TV for very different job
Blue Peter legend Katy Hill has shared some rare photographs with her teenage daughter, years after turning her back on TV and showbiz. The star - who began her career back in 1995 - is famed for presenting Blue Peter for five years. as well as Saturday morning show Live & Kicking, which she fronted in 2001.
Katy, 53, took to Instagram to share a glimpse of a festive day out she'd enjoyed with her teenage daughter Kaya Sky, 18, after collecting her from university ready for Christmas. The TV personality posted several snaps from the special day, and told her fans how "exciting" it was to have Kaya home for the festive period.
"And just like that… All is well with the world!" Katy began by writing. "THE most exciting trip yesterday to collect my girl from Uni … ALL the Christmas songs blasting, coffee in hand, Wicked soundtrack sing along and a bit of Christmas shopping action! When we all used to head home for Christmas my mum used to say how she felt like her nest was complete again and I totally get it now! Beyond happy! Who else is counting down to Christmas re-unions?"

Fans flocked to comment the sweet post, with many relating to Katy's family reunion. One person commented: "doing the same this week and next week and LOVING every second of it. wishing you and family the best time ever."
Another added: "Yes to this. Mine just flew home yesterday. So happy to go into his room and see him sleeping this morning." Meanwhile, a third fan said: "Yay!!! So happy for you guys!!! Sending love to your amazing girl!"
Katy is mum to Kaya and son Akira, 16, with husband Trey Farley, who is also a former Live & Kicking presenter. The couple married in Tuscany in 2004 after getting engaged in Venice. The family previously resided in Los Angeles.
Katy is no longer a regular on our TV screens and now works as a life coach, having started up her own business. She describes herself as an 'Internationally Certified Success & Confidence Coach' and regularly shares uplifting content on social media. Katy has her own newsletter, The Limitless List, which provides inspirational quotes and messages.
