Black Friday is back – and this year it seems bigger than ever. The popular retail event, which originated in the US, is an ideal time for shoppers to snap up some bargain Christmas presents but scoring the best deals calls for a little advance planning.

In recent years, the event has evolved to include slashed prices in the days before – as well as the days after – Black Friday. This year, a number of sales have already started.
