The biggest wedding trends of 2017 according to Pinterest
When it comes to your big day, you not only want it to be beautiful but unique as well.
And there’s no harm in it being bang-on trend, either.
From how to wear your hair to particular shades of suit, newlyweds are giving tradition their own unique twists in 2017.
And what better way to find out just what these are than through Pinterest’s 2017 Wedding Report?
The site says that this year’s weddings are all about “personalization and having fun, from printed bridesmaid dresses in lieu of mismatched solids, to the taco bar riff on family-style buffets”.
Here are a few firm favourites so far.
Off-the-shoulder wedding dresses

Pinterest says that this look has been “huge in apparel, but the trend has made its way to Bridal style, with off the shoulder wedding dresses”, and pins of it are up by 158% this year.
Food-and-drink pairings

Bottomless Prosecco simply isn’t enough as couples serve up things like sliders with shots of beer and oysters with sparkling wine. Up 60% this year.

Giving their receptions a festival-like feel by letting guests mix and match their own. Searches for this are up 132%.
Drip cakes
It’s arty, it has a just-thrown-together look (though it most definitely wasn’t), and it’s up a huge 437% on the site.
Bright blue suits

Grooms are opting for brighter, bluer suits instead of more-sombre navy and black as searches for blue groom suits are up by 90%.
DIY drink stations

Wedding guests can skip the queues, and you can skip having to hire bartenders thanks to do-it-yourself drink stations which have gone up by 50%.
