Love it or hate it, this weekend there’s going to be royal wedding fever brimming across the length and breadth of the UK.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to say their vows at Windsor Castle, thousands of people will be gathering across the country to watch the day unfold.

Various cities are accommodating with screenings both indoor and outdoors, while hundreds of bars, clubs and restaurants cashing in on the cultural event.

No matter where you are in the UK, the atmosphere on the day is guaranteed to be unrivalled.

From ticketed to free and luxury to good old British knees-ups, we’ve scoured the country for the best ways to view the royal wedding near you…

London

For those hoping to plot in front of a big screen at one of London’s great parks will be out of luck.

Because Harry and Meghan’s is not a state wedding, unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton’s in 2011, licences are stricter.

Still, there are plenty of places to view the action.

One Marylebone Church, Westminster, if offering a live screening with a more immersive wedding experience which they’re calling the ‘Official Royal Wedding Party’.

For £25 a head, guests can watch the action in the stunning Grade II listed church while taking part in activities such as making wedding bouquets, decorating wedding cakes, playing typically British games and learning the art of the perfect Bloody Mary.

We’re sold.

One of London’s best free royal wedding screening opportunities is at Skylight rooftop bar, based Tobacco Dock in East London.

Watch Harry and Meghan say ‘I do’ with games of pétanque and plenty of great street food options to keep you entertained during the wedding address.

Booking isn’t necessary for entry but is advisable if you want a table.

One of the only big screens being displayed in the capital is at the London Designer Outlet in Wembley.

On the day, turn up for free and grab yourself one of the deckchairs provided to watch the wedding unfold.

Head to Chelsea for a civilised affair at the Bluebird on King’s Road.

Here you’ll be able to watch the action while enjoying BBQ food and the restaurant’s exclusive Botanist Royal Wedding cocktail.

Tickets are £25 which include entry and a glass of bubbles, and can be bought on the day.

Another great free option is being held at The Gun, Canary Wharf.

Boasting great views of the Thames, this recently renovated, family friendly venue will be screening all of the proceedings of the day.

It’s sure to be a great option for people visiting London who want to watch the historic moment while soaking in the capital’s great landmarks.

Birmingham

If you’re based in Birmingham then get yourself down to the City Social on the day of the royal wedding, located at The Mailbox Underpass, where a screening of the nuptials will be taking place.

Alternatively, you could head to the Royal Wedding Garden Party at Ramada Park Hall Hotel in Wolverhampton.

For £40 per ticket, you’ll arrive to a red carpet welcome, with drinks and canapés followed by a luxury buffet and a glass of prosecco.

And hey – if there’s nothing on near you there’s no reason why you can’t make a day of it.

Gather your fellow Meghan and Harry enthusiasts, stock up on scones, jam and G&Ts at your local shop and hold your own screening from the comfort of your living room.
