Best photos of the Royal Family at Ascot 2019

Ascot is one of the highlights of the summer for the Royal Family.

The day always kicks off with the carriage procession, but the races are where we see the royals get really animated.

Having attended Royal Ascot from a young age, the Queen is an owner and breeder of many thoroughbred horses.

Her own horses have won races at Royal Ascot a number of times, the first being in 1953.

While Her Majesty usually attends the full five days, she’s accompanied by various members of her family including her children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Edward.

The younger generation also attend - the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex have made stylish debuts in recent years at the Berkshire racecourse.

And there’s always plenty of laughs among royal cousins Prince William, Prince Harry, Zara and Mike Tindall and Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
